While I've considered myself an artist since childhood, My Sunset Road began in 2007 when I taught myself how to metalsmith and decided I was in love with the process. Since then my jewelry has been a shop staple while also introducing new interests such as shellwork, painting, assemblage art and small sculptural pieces.
I've found that I make my favorite pieces when I stop thinking about what will attract customers and just focus on what I love to create. This isn't the smartest marketing strategy but I want my buyers & collectors to feel an attraction and attachment to my work in the same way that I do in making it. I hope you see the attention to detail and love put into each item and that they bring joy to you and your home.
xx,
Courtney
